Fathers Resource Center, Inc. provides multiple services to fathers in multiple income levels. In addition to the generous financial support provided by contributors like you, we are also in need of the following items:
MENS CLOTHING, CHILD ITEMS, FOOD, APPLIANCES, KITCHENWARE, COMPUTER, more.
MENS CLOTHINGClothing for court, interviews and employment, our clients represent multiple trades and needs. We are asking for new and gently used items such as:
- Shirts (button up, polo, long sleeve, short sleeve, etc., sizes M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL)
- Pants (slacks, dockers, jeans)
- Suits (all sizes)
- Ties & accessories
CHILD ITEMS
Some of our clients are in need of the necessities for baby and all youths to age 18 for boys / girls such as:
- Diapers & Wipes
- Formula & other non-perished foods
- Car Seats, Carriers, Strollers, Cribs
- Bedding, Changing Tables, Dressers
- Clothing for all seasons
- Toys (non-recalled)
- Books & DVD's
- Games, toys or other items for older children
FOOD
Food items are welcome. Canned and dry goods are best (due to storage), but frozen items will also be of benefit. This is especially needed during holiday seasons.
APPLIANCES
We would also like to start collection & distribution of household appliances such as:
- Microwaves
- Coffee / Espresso Makers
- Toasters / Toaster Ovens
- Small Grills (such as the George Foreman or Hibachi Grill)
KITCHENWARE
- Plates, bowls, glasses, mugs
- Dinnerware (forks, knives, spoons, etc.)
- Cookware (pots, pans, large bowls, utensils)
- Plastic (Tupperware style) utensils and etc.
COMPUTERS
Fathers Resource Center, Inc. seeks to provide a better opportunity in all areas of the lives of our clients. Having their own computers will enable our community of fathers to complete their court paperwork, their training assigned by our agency, give them access to email correspondence, an unlimited resource for support and parent education and enable them to seek and obtain gainful employment (just to name a few of the benefits). In cases where there are older children involved, it will provide them with a resource for word processing and research for their homework assignments.
Fathers Resource Center, Inc. has an IT component that will build these computers and get them ready for placement, so even if your donation computer is non-operational or incomplete, it will still help. We have no problem accepting used equipment.
TOWERS / DESKTOPS / LAPTOPS / COMPONENTS
Due to the demands of today's operating systems and the Internet, we need to impose the following minimums for donated computers:Simplified; the computer's birthday should be between the year 2000 and the present.
- Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD Athlon/Duron family with;
750 megahertz CPU speed or faster- 256 megabyte (MB) RAM or greater
- 6 gigabyte (GB) hard drives or larger
MONITORS
LCD type monitors are preferred of course (due to portability and storage), but we do gratefully accept CRT Monitors as long as they are still functional. We must place this requirement because of disposal fees imposed on CRT. If we get a load of non-working CRT monitors, we will actually have to pay for proper disposal. We also ask that they be 17" or greater in viewable screen (diagonal measurement)
For the food items listed above, Fathers Resource Center is in need of a large capacity deep freezer.
For all of the items listed above, Fathers Resource Center is also in need of a garage shelving system.
